The biblical feasts of Israel, known as the Moedim (appointed times), were established by God and revealed to Moses in the Sinai (Leviticus 23). These are much more than historical traditions; they are divine appointments—prophetic milestones in God’s redemptive plan. Understanding and honouring them allows us to walk in alignment with God’s purposes. When we trust and receive His plan for our lives He replaces hopelessness and anxiety with a fresh ability to comprehend and pursue His loving purposes, peace, and joy.
Each feast finds its ultimate fulfillment in Yeshua, the Messiah. The spring feasts were fulfilled in His first coming, and the autumn feasts point to His return—when the righteous will be gathered, the wicked judged, and God’s kingdom fully established.
Question: Are you prepared to stand in alignment with God as these prophetic events unfold?
1. Passover – Yeshua, the Promised Lamb (Redemption)
🔹 Theme: Redemption through the blood of the Lamb
🔹 Life’s Key Question: Have you applied the blood of the Lamb to your life?
What it was: Passover commemorates Israel’s deliverance from Egypt when God spared the firstborn of those who applied the lamb’s blood to their doorposts (Exodus 12).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: He is the Lamb of God (John 1:29), crucified on Passover, offering eternal salvation through His sacrifice (1 Corinthians 5:7).
✅ Perfect timing: At the exact time the Passover lambs were sacrificed in the Temple, Yeshua, the Lamb of God, was being crucified—fulfilling the feast with divine precision.
⚠ Why It Matters: Just as those in Egypt perished without the blood, those who reject Yeshua’s sacrifice remain unprotected from eternal separation from God. Have you received His redemption?
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread – Yeshua, the Sinless One (Purity)
🔹 Theme: Removing sin and walking in holiness
🔹 Life’s Key Question: Are you allowing sin to remain, or have you removed the leaven?
What it was: Israel was commanded to eat unleavened bread (symbolizing the removal of sin) for seven days after leaving Egypt (Exodus 12:15-20).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: The sinless Bread of Life (John 6:35) was buried during this feast, fulfilling Psalm 16:10 (Acts 2:31).
✅ Perfect timing: As the Feast of Unleavened Bread began, Yeshua’s sinless body was placed to rest in the tomb through this sacred Sabbath.
⚠ Why It Matters: Sin, like leaven, spreads and corrupts. Have you allowed Yeshua to cleanse your life and remove its power over you?
3. Feast of Firstfruits – Yeshua, the Risen King (Resurrection)
🔹 Theme: Resurrection and new beginnings
🔹 Life’s Key Question: What is your hope beyond the grave?
What it was: The first sheaf of the harvest was offered to God, symbolizing a greater harvest to come (Leviticus 23:9-14).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: He rose from the dead on this feast (1 Corinthians 15:20), guaranteeing resurrection for all who trust in Him.
✅ Perfect timing: Yeshua was resurrected on Firstfruits, the first day of the week and third day after the Passover! Jesus appeared to His disciples that day as the Firstfruit from the dead! (1 Corinthians 15:20).
⚠ Why It Matters: Without resurrection, there is no eternal hope. Have you put your faith in Yeshua, the Firstfruits of eternal life?
4. Feast of Pentecost – Yeshua, the Giver of the Spirit (Power)
🔹 Theme: The giving of the Law and the Holy Spirit
🔹 Life’s Key Question: Are you relying on your own strength, or are you empowered by the Spirit?
What it was: Fifty days after Firstfruits, Israel celebrated the giving of the Torah at Sinai (Exodus 19).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: Fifty days after His resurrection, the Holy Spirit was poured out (Acts 2), fulfilling Jeremiah 31:33 by writing God’s law on believers’ hearts.
✅ Perfect timing: The Torah was given at Mount Sinai 50 days after Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. The Holy Spirit came with power on Jesus’ followers exactly 50 days after His resurrection!
⚠ Why It Matters: Without the Holy Spirit, we are powerless to wholeheatedly trust and obey God. Have you received His Spirit?
5. Feast of Trumpets – Yeshua, the Returning King (Gathering)
🔹 Theme: Repentance and readiness
🔹 Life’s Key Question: Will you be ready when the trumpet sounds?
What it was: The shofar blast marked the new year and called Israel to repentance (Leviticus 23:23-25).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: This feast foreshadows His return when “the trumpet will sound” (1 Thessalonians 4:16) and the righteous will be gathered.
⚠ Why It Matters: The trumpet will sound, whether you are ready or not. What are you doing to prepare yourself to face the LORD on that day?
6. Day of Atonement – Yeshua, the Ultimate High Priest (Forgiveness & Judgment)
🔹 Theme: Repentance, judgment, and atonement
🔹 Life’s Key Question: Will you meet Yeshua as Savior or Judge?
What it was: The High Priest entered the Holy of Holies to make atonement for Israel’s sins (Leviticus 16).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: As our High Priest (Hebrews 9:11-12), He made a once-for-all atonement through His blood.
⚠ Why It Matters: Atonement is available now—but soon, only judgment remains. Have you recived His forgiveness?
7. Feast of Tabernacles – Yeshua, God with Us (Eternal Presence)
🔹 Theme: God dwelling with His people
🔹 Life’s Key Question: Will you dwell with Him forever?
What it was: The Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot celebrates God’s presence and provision in the wilderness (Leviticus 23:33-43).
Fulfillment in Yeshua: Many believe He was not born at Christmas but during this feast as Emmanuel, “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). He will one day tabernacle/live among us forever (Revelation 21:3).
⚠ Why It Matters: Only those who dwell with Him now will dwell with Him eternally. Have you invited Him to be LORD of your life and made Him your dwelling place?
God’s Prophetic Calendar: Are You Paying Attention?

The feasts are not random traditions; they are divine appointments, fulfilled in Yeshua. The first four have been completed in His first coming. The final three will be fulfilled at His return—and they will happen whether we are prepared or not.
This timeline—foretold in the Sinai through Moses —proves God’s loving faithfulness and confirms Yeshua as the Messiah.
Final Question:
How could these feasts, given 1,400 years before Yeshua, align so perfectly with His birth, life, death, resurrection, and return—unless they were divinely orchestrated?
Ignoring God’s prophetic calendar is not just foolish—it has consequesnces that echo throughout eternity.
When the final trumpet sounds, where will you stand?
